Jeanine Kay Schlichting Schneider, age 50 of Seguin, passed away on September 27, 2016. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Tom Jones and Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery. A reception will follow at Cross Church Fellowship Hall. Jeanine was born on March 10, 1966 in Guadalupe County to Harvey and Betty Jean (Pankau) Schlichting. Jeanine was a 1984 graduate of Marion High School and a 1988 graduate of St. Phillips College where she received her associate's degree in Licensed Vocational Nursing. She worked for many years at McKenna Hospital (Christus Santa Rosa, New Braunfels) and then many years at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. Most of her time was spent as a nurse in the Emergency Room. Jeanine loved fishing and shared many special times with family and friends in Rockport. She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Schlichting, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, R. E. and Ora Mae Schneider, and grandparents, Helga and Walter Pankau and Olivia Lockstedt. Survivors include her loving husband Glenn Schneider; daughter, Casey N. Schneider, son, Craig R. Schneider and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Blake and Kandis Schneider; mother, Betty Jean Schlichting; brother, Jeff Schlichting and wife Kim; nephew, Zachary Schlichting; brother-in-law, Orlando Schneider and wife Sandy; aunt, Betty Lorenz; uncles, Clifford Pankau and wife Anona, Melvin Pankau and wife Betty, and Milton Pankau and wife Pat; great aunt, Marciel Soechting; numerous other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Schneider, David Schneider, Stanley Skrzycki, Zachary Schlichting, Freddy Moore, and Jeff Koehne. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Church, 814 N.
