Jenelle Linda Oeltjendiers was born on April 8, 1939 in La Grange, Texas to parents Arnold and Linda (Kaase) Roesler.  Jenelle passed through death into eternal life on June 24, 2025 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 86.  She was baptized into the Lutheran church as an infant and she confirmed her Christian faith as a young adult. Jenelle met her future husband Henry Oeltjendiers while they were both attending La Grange public schools (La Grange High School class of 1954).  Henry and Jenelle were married on September 8, 1963 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange.

Jenelle and her family spent their lives in Fayette County where Jenelle was a housewife and both her and Henry were Lutheran youth sponsors for many years.  Jenelle enjoyed making woodcrafts with Henry and working with him in their garden and on their cattle farm.  After Henry died, the joy of Jenelle's life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jenelle was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Henry. She is survived by her daughter Jo Ann Bogisch and husband Tim, her grandchildren Tiffany Mireault and husband Alex, Ashley Goins and husband TJ and Brandon Bogisch as well as her great-grandchildren Madelyn and Josephine Mireault.

The family would like to thank GRMC Hospice staff for their care during the last months of Jenelle's life.  Also special thanks to Tammy Bogisch and Crystal Homann, her private care givers, for their loving care that allowed Jenelle to remain at home with her family.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Grange, Texas on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM under the direction of Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home of La Grange with Reverend Daniel Cave officiating with burial to follow at La Grange City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM also at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Jenelle's pall bearers will be Brandon Bogisch, TJ Goins, Alex Mireault, Robert Huenefeld, John Huenefeld and Glen Roscher as well as honorary pall bearers Greg Hunger, Tiffany Mireault and Ashley Goins.

In lieu of flowers, Jenelle's family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to Guadalupe Regional Hospice, 1346 E. Walnut Street, Seguin TX 78155 or to the Lake Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department, 915 Potthast Drive, New Braunfels TX 78130 or to the charity of one's choice.
