In Loving Memory of
Jerry Carrizales Medina
October 28, 1949 – June 28, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Carrizales Medina, a proud United States Marine, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jerry passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born to the late Joe and Josefa Medina, Jerry was a man of unwavering strength, loyalty, and compassion. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Medina and Oscar Medina; his beloved in-laws, Margarita and Ruben Villalon; and his former son-in-law, Jason Deboutez.
Jerry is survived by his only sister, Chriselda Zamora (Maye), and his brothers Robert Medina (Joann), Steven Medina (Renee), and Leonard Medina (Toni). He leaves behind his loving wife, Bettie Ann Medina, and his three daughters: Tracy Aguilar (Anthony), Melissa Peña (Eric), and Jennifer Anderson (Bryan). To them, he was the best "girl dad" ever—always their protector, biggest supporter, and hero.
He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren: Michael Aguilar (Lindsey), Evan Peña, Lyndsey Peña, Jeran Aguilar, Logan Deboutez, Nathan Deboutez, Braeden Peña, and Garrett Peña; and a proud great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren.
Jerry had a deep love for his family and always put them first. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, spending time at the beach, and relaxing with his faithful dog, Ollie, by his side.
His quick wit, warm heart, and steadfast presence will be forever remembered. Jerry's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on in all who had the honor of knowing him.
