Jessie L. Guzman, age 70 of Seguin, passed away on October 26, 2021.  Jessie was born on December 5, 1950 in Ecleto, Texas to Guadalupe (Lemos) and Jose Guzman, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana Guzman; brothers, Alex Guzman, Raymond Guzman and Jose Guzman, Jr.; sisters, Maria Calderon, Elfida Garza, Alice Arriaga, Virginia Cruz and Minnie Garcia.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Guzman; daughters, Julia Arredondo (Orlando), Melissa Ponce (Rudy), Victoria Guzman (Christopher Henderson); sons, Jessie Guzman Jr. (Claudia) and Steven Guzman (Danielle); sister, Delia Martinez; grandchildren, Andrea, Sara, Aaron, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Eric, Aiden, Austen, Brianna, Ethan and his beloved grand-dog, Lulu.

Jessie worked for the City of Seguin in utility and grounds for 12 years. He was an avid rancher and enjoyed cutting lawns. He loved cooking while enjoying his favorite beverage. Jessie was a very caring and hardworking man. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren while making his famous lemonade. Jessie will truly be missed to those who knew him.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Victor Garcia officiating.  A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Martinez, Jose Guzman, Jose Garza, Rudy Cruz, Johnny Cruz and Mark Castillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Ponce, Orlando Arredondo, Chis Henderson, Aaron Guzman, Austen Guzman, Aiden Guzman, Ethan Ponce, Jeremiah Arredondo, Gabriel Arredondo and Eric Gonzales.
