Jesus O. Rodriguez, age 87 of Seguin, passed away peacefully at his home on December 14, 2017 at 12PM. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 5 to 7PM at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9AM, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10AM with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. The Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment with military honors will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Jesus was born on March 19, 1930 in Seguin to Ramon and Sapopa (Ortiz) Rodriguez. Jesus grew up in Seguin and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, Jesus returned to Seguin and opened J&A Construction, Inc., and later, Capote Construction, spending 38 years in the business. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anita Rodriguez; sons, Jesse, Hector, Rick, Ruben, and Manuel; daughters, Guadalupe, Rose, and Norma; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Yolanda; son, Demetrio; granddaughter, Amy; his parents; and brothers, Rudy and Emilio. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Rodriguez, Hector Rodriguez, Rick Rodriguez, Manuel Vielma, Jeff Martinez, and Michael Castillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert N. Gutierrez, Jonas Rodriguez, Jake Rodriguez, Jacob Moya, and Freddy Camarillo.
