Jimmie Jo "Sam" Cruise, age 64 of Seguin, passed away on August 21, 2017. Jimmie Jo was born on February 14, 1953 in Austin, Texas to Buchannan and Eileen (Smith) Boyd. She was a proud graduate of both the University of Texas at Austin and Rice University. Jimmie Jo is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and her granddaughter Mykala. Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Mike Cruise; son, Zachary Cruise; sister, Margie Osborn; brother Monte "Butch" Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. A Celebration of Life service is being planned in the near future. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter, P. O. Box 1302, Seguin, Texas, 78156. Jimmie Jo was loved by many and will be missed.
