Joachim Johannas Soungie Sr. "Joe" 68 of Seguin , passed away on July 12, 2017 after a sudden and brief illness. Joe was born on May 15, 1949 in Trinidad and Tobago. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife Irvina, three children: Paulina, Joachim Jr. (Nikki) and Julsan - all from Houston; grandchildren: Alyssia, Shari, Christian and Elysse; one step-daughter Rachel; step grandchildren: Braylen, Devin and Abigail; siblings; nieces, nephews, friends and his little dog Rex he called "Shorty". Joe was a Welder for almost 40yrs. He retired from 28 years of service from Siemens Energy- formerly Westinghouse Corporation. His career with Siemens took him all over the world. In retired life, Joe loved spending time with his wife. He also liked gardening, deep sea fishing, listening to Reggae Music, and riding his motorcycle. Anyone who met Joe was touched by his sweet kind spirit. Everyone who knew Joe loved him. Joachim "Joe" Soungie will truly be missed by all. There will not be a viewing or program before cremation services. Instead, fellowship and a short photo memorial video in Joe's honor will be held and continuous run on Thursday, July 27th from 9AM -11:00AM a t Tres Hewell Mortuary.
