Joan Ruby Duron, was called home to the Lord on July 16, 2011, at the age of 94, with her husband Tony and Santa by her side. Joan was born on January 19, 1917 in Joplin Missouri. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 52 years Tony Duron; other survivors include five nephews and nieces and her brother-in-law, John Hasko of California. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Doke and Emma Dove Nothnagle, and her sisters Margaret Frances DePalma and Mary Alice Hasko. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Circle. She enjoyed working with the youth as a teacher and after her retirement she volunteered at St. James Catholic School for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
