Joe "Master" Magallanez, age 75 of Seguin, passed away on October 18, 2016. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5 -8 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary. The recitation of rosary will on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10am with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Joe was born on November 15, 1940 in Seguin, Texas to Thomas and Pabla (Sepeda) Magallanez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria S. Magallanez; his parents; sibilings, Jesse Magallanez, Juan Magallanez, Daniel Magallanez; and Lupe Rositas. Joe is survived by his loving daughters, Julie Magallanez, Betty Magallanez, Barbara Garcia, and husband Ralph, Rita Arambula, and fiancée Dale Vincent; mother of his children, Mary G. Leos; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Magallanez, and wife Celia; sisters Mary Moreno, and husband Manuel, Bennina Herrera; sisters-in-law Gloria A. Magallanez, Maria C. Magallanez; brother-in-law Dickie Rositas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Arthur Borrego, Maximus Hernandez, Andy Gallegos, Luis Tristian III, Victor Magallanez, and Michael Magallanez.
