John Kerwin Pape, age 63 of Seguin, passed away on February 26, 2018. Visitation will begin at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 12 noon on Friday, March 2, 2018 followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the San Geronimo Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Pape Pecan House. John was born on August 30, 1954 in Biloxi Mississippi. His parents are Kenneth Hugo and Zelda "Zee" (Kindred) Pape. John worked in the local family owned business, Pape Pecan House. He was dedicated and passionate about the business, and even baked his own pecan pies. Survivors include his loving wife, Marina Teneyuque; his parents, Kenneth and Zelda "Zee" Pape; sister, Dana Pape Ohara (Kevin); stepsons, Edward Teneyuque (Dalia), Michael Teneyuque (Angie), David Teneyuque (Lillian), and Mark Lopez (Kari); step-grandchildren, LillyAnna, Mark Anthony, Layla and Makayla Lopez, and Sofia Almendarez; his beloved companion, Brownie; numerous other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Lopez, David Teneyuque, Eddie Teneyuque, Michael Teneyuque, James Dresner, LeRoy Longoria, Doc Randel and George Coe. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Ornelas and Israel Ortiz. John will always be remembered as a loving, caring empathetic man. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seguin Dog Park, 5540 S.
