John Edward Perryman, age 87 of Kingsbury, Texas, passed away on November 21, 2023.  John was born in Guadalupe County, Texas, to Avis (Brewer) and Dee Jarnet Perryman.  John grew up in the Kingsbury Area and attended Dowdy School and later graduated from Seguin High School Class of 1954.

At the age of 10, John began working as a roughneck in the Darst Creek Oil Field.  He later purchased his rigs and continued working in the Oil and Gas Industry his entire life.  Throughout his work in the oil fields, he loved every stray dog that he picked up, especially Pal and Buddy.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Jarnet Perryman.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Perryman Nolen, and husband Ladd; son, Thomas Perryman, and wife Melissa; longtime loving companion, Sylvia Strey; sister-in-law, Patricia Baker Perryman; nephews, Billy Pat Perryman and Tracy Perryman and wife Nancy; great nieces, Lindsey Riley and husband Eric and Brooke Perryman and fiancé Kyle Hanse; great nephew, Bryce Perryman; several cousins, other loving family members and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at the Kingsbury Cemetery at a later date.
