Mr. John C. Stuart, Jr., age 86 of Seguin, formerly of Luling and Corpus Christi, passed away on February 10, 2011. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in San Marcos. John was born on April 20, 1924 in Hull Texas to John Curtis Sr., and Ruby Helms Stuart. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed metal detecting and found many treasures throughout his life. He loved reading, cooking and collecting cook books. He was an avid Spurs Fan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Kyle, Keith, Kenneth and Boyce Stuart. Survivors include his son Ronald Stuart; daughters, Marcy Ruby and husband Ron, and Alice Truelock and husband Shannon; sisters, Terry Fox, Jean Pawlik and Peggy Pierce; grandchildren, Kimberly Ruby, Amber Story and husband Chris, Brandon Ellenberger and Colton Truelock; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Whitney, Cassie, Rebecca, and Peyton; numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Ruby, Shannon Truelock, Brandon Ellenberger, Colton Truelock, Chris Story and David Burns.
