Johnnie Ray "Big John" Bomnskie, age 69 of Kingsbury, passed away on May 15, 2023.

Johnnie was born in Bryan, Texas on February 16, 1954 to Ann Francis (Hanus) and Felix Bomnskie, Sr.

Johnnie enjoyed his time with his family. He also loved working on the ranch with cattle and horses. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents, and his son-in-law Donnie Ray Hopper.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Burden; daughters, Leslie Palacios and husband Alfredo, and Kimberly Bomnskie; stepsons, Joe Glenn Burden Jr., and Richard Curtis Burden; grandchildren, Cody Armstrong, T.J. Mc Cay and wife Lauren, Sean Mc Cay and wife Shelby, Logan Schubert, Stevie Ray Hopper, and Katherine Marie Hopper; great-grandchild, Cayson Armstrong; brothers, Felix Bomnskie Jr. and wife Dell, Glen Bomnskie and wife Donna; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A reception will follow from 1-5 p.m. at Geronimo VFW Post # 8456, 6808 TX HWY 123, Geronimo, Texas 78155
