Jon Roth Pfluger was called home by his Lord and Savior on April 3, 2017.  Jon was surrounded by family and passed peacefully in his home in New Braunfels following a year-long battle with Leukemia.

Jon was born in Austin on December 22, 1964 to proud parents, Jim and Joyce Pfluger. He grew up in Austin and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University where he had his own fishing show, Pfishing with Pflug, in Nacogdoches. Jon was an accomplished golfer. He played both Amateur and Professional Golf and was proud to have played in the British Mid-Amateur at St. Andrews. Jon passed on his love for the game to his sons, Bobby and JR. Besides his beautiful wife, Kelly, two sons and cherished daughter, Charlotte, Jon's greatest passion was for fishing. He was a member of the Lone Star Lunker Program, catching the state record Bass (13.67 lbs.) for Lake Austin in 1994.

Jon was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels and was an active community member. He served various charitable organizations including St. Paul Church, New Braunfels Art League, American Cancer Society and the local school district. Jon owned Golf Manufacturer's Outlet and was a licensed Real Estate Agent.

Jon is survived by his wife, Kelly and children, Bobby, JR and Charlotte; his mother, Joyce Pfluger and siblings, Janet Scott and Brad Pfluger; nieces and nephews, Ali Scott-Callaway, Christy and Win Scott, Grant, Audrey and Marshal Pfluger. Brothers-in-law Willy Scott, Brent and Morgan Zoboroski; sisters-in-law Deborah Pfluger and Laura Zoboroski; along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon was preceded in death by his father, Jim Pfluger and in-laws Robert and Constance Zoboroski.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels.  Visitation guests are invited to wear golf or fishing shirts in Jon's honor. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels with Rev. Paul Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wes Pitts, David Putman, John Trube, Philip Bleakney, Brian Shocklee, Mark Mitchell, John Mathieson and Hayes Pitts. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org) or St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 W.
