Jose "Joe" Lomas
December 9, 1942 - May 7, 2026
Jose "Joe" Sanchez Lomas, beautifully aged at 83 of Seguin Texas, passed away May 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born to Adolfo Lomas & Francisca Sanchez in Blanco Texas, and they lived in Seguin Texas before relocating to Tracy California. Joe married Sally Rodriguez on January 6, 1964, and settled in Stockton California where they had 2 children, Jose Lomas, ll & Dannette Lomas.
Jose was a construction worker from 1978-2000 and left his touched throughout Stockton on buildings such as St. Joseph's Hospital, UOP, San Joaquin Delta College, Dameron Hospital and many more places. After 32 long, hard working years, he finally retired from the construction industry and began doing everything he loved such as traveling with his wife, camping with his family, fishing and cooking. There’s nothing more that he enjoyed than being outside whether it was him in the garden, fixing something or BBQing on the grill.
Jose is preceded in death by Brothers John Lomas, Sr. Adolfo Lomas Jr., Chris Lomas and his grandson Nicholas Awan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years Sally Lomas, their children ; Jose Lomas, ll, and wife Myong, and Dannette Lomas, Bernice Martinez and grandchildren Jose Lomas III, Terrah Lomas, Raymond Lomas, Arianna Lomas, Julissa Lomas, Emiliano Lopez Lomas, Jose Lomas-Lopez, Rigoberto Lopez, Joe Ruiz, Crystal Mora, Manuel "Jr" Bolanos and 12 lovely great grandchildren Siblings, Connie Amador, Lilly Hernandez and Raul Lomas, Sr., and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin, followed by a memorial service celebrating Joe’s life at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Daniel Perez officiating.
The celebration of Jose’s life will continue at the Silver Center in Seguin from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Yellow Rose Room.
