Jose Ramirez, Jr., age 75 of Waelder, passed away July 1, 2017. Graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Joe was born December 2, 1941 in Brownsville, Texas to Jose, Sr., and Eva (Yzaguirre) Ramirez. Jose proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his son, Jose Ramirez III, his parents, his sister, Irene and an infant sister. Jose is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ramirez; children, Jerry Ramirez, Marc Ramirez, Matthew Ramirez, Robin Ramirez, April Ramirez and Gema Ramirez; numerous grandchildren; brother, Robert Ramirez and wife, Linda; sisters, Elena Baxley and husband, Jim, Lelia Ramirez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
