Jose (Joe) Riojas, Jr., age 70, of Nixon passed away on May 26, 2011. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Latin American Cemetery in Nixon. Joe was born on September 5, 1940 in Nixon,Texas to Jose Riojas, Sr. and Florencia Trigo Riojas. He will be remembered as a long time contractor in Gonzales County. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Joe Riojas, III. Survivors include his loving wife Dora Arce Riojas; children, Rosemarie Rogers and husband Jack; Arthur (Tudy) Riojas, Sandra Nino and husband Ricardo; brothers, Jesse Riojas and wife Blanca, Robert Riojas, Alfredo Riojas and wife Victoria; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricardo Nino, II, Prisco Nino, II, Eddie Riojas, Art Riojas, Ricardo Nino and Art Riojas, II.
