Josefina "Lila" Astran, age 95 of Seguin, passed away on October 10, 2015. Visitation will begin on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Lila was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1919 in Marion Texas to Roberto and Francisca (Suarez) Young. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was a member of the Guadalupanas. She is preceded in death by her husband Hilario Astran, her son, Hilario Astran, Jr., her daughter, Sylvia Young, her parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son and daughters, Velia Villanueva, Alicia Astran, Daniel Astran and wife Beatrice, Minerva Mendez, Gloria Lattin and husband David, Diane Young Moravec and husband Hank, and Leticia Cervantes and husband Robert; 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Mario Martinez, Michael Cimental, Daniel Astran, Jr., Felipe Flores, III, Gilbert Moreno and Eric Cervantes. Honorary pallbearers will be Candelario Martinez, III, Bryan Cervantes and Jeritt Cervantes.
