Joseph James "Joe" Branecky, age 82, of Seguin, passed away on November 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Flatonia, Texas. Joe was born on December 12, 1932 in Flatonia to Ed and Mary (Sandera) Branecky. Joe served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the Army, Joe then went to work as a machinist for SMI where he retired after 40 years. When Joe wasn't working on metal, he was busy with his passion; ranching and farming. Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 24 years, Agnes Branecky; sisters Agnes Hajek, Pauline Klesel, Cecilia Vrana, and Emma Vrana. He is survived by his children Patricia Womack and husband Charlie, Sandra Vogel and husband Jerry, Dennis Branecky, Carol Faulkner and husband Ed; grandchildren Hailey Vogel, Hannah Faulkner, Zachary Faulkner; brother Frank Branecky and wife Lillie; sister Lillian Holubec. Other loving survivors include Chance Womack and wife Krystal, Shane Womack, Gregg Womack, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.
