Joseph "Joe" Thomas Moryl, Jr., age78 of Seguin, passed away on August 12, 2024.  Joe was born on February 7, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Gladys Marie (Boniewicz) and Joseph Thomas Moryl, Sr.

Joe retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after 28 years of faithful service as a state trooper.

He always enjoyed cheering on the Houston Texans as they were his all-time favorite football team.  His most precious times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Sophie Madalinski, Margaret McEwen, Thomas Moryl, Sr., Stanley Moryl, Sr., and Helen Farley.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Cheryl Moryl; daughter, Michelle Harborth and husband Dale; son, Joseph "Joe" Moryl, III and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Trever Harborth, Hanna Diaz and husband Jacob, Nick Harborth and wife Maria, Joseph "J.T." Moryl IV, and Gunner Moryl; great-grandchildren, Eli and Brooks Harborth, and Kash Diaz; siblings, Frances Parnell, Josephine Mollenkopf, Gladys Moore, John Moryl, Sr., and Antoinette Tudyk; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to the thank everyone at the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit for their loving care of Joe.
