Josephine Neuse, age 88 of Seguin, passed away on January 3, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Josephine was born on October 15, 1923 in Joliet, Texas to William F. and Flora Cordelia Loehmann Rodenberg. She will be remembered as a longtime volunteer and past president of the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Volunteer Services in Seguin (former pink ladies) and a former active member of the Order of the Sons of Hermann Seguin Lodge #37. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, arts, crafts, gardening and spending time with her family. Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Neuse, parents, brothers, Reese and Weldon Rodenberg and sisters, Blanche Lockwood, Jewel Churchwell and Doris Probst. Survivors include her children, Larry McCartney and wife Jan, Marva Kay Dickson and husband Mike, Cheryl Ann Blakely and partner Mark Mullen, and Claudette Neuse; sister, Mayciel Etheredge; grandchildren, Dustin McCartney, Brandon McCartney and wife Sharon, Erin Teter and husband Steven, Zach Ehlers and wife Jessica, and Colin Ehlers; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Annabelle and Daniel McCartney, and Benjamin and Emily Teter; sisters-in-law, Ruby Hurt, Mary Bond and June Heideke; numerous nieces and nephews.
