Josie N. Hernandez, age 74, of Seguin, passed away on November 1, 2015. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Josie was born on October 6, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Domingo Sr. and Joaquina (Lozano) Noriega. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Genaro Gonzales, Jr., husband Manuel Hernandez, husband and father of her children, Genaro Gonzales, Sr., and brother Ramiro Noriega. She is survived by her daughter Irene Mendoza and husband Gabriel; grandchildren Gabriel, Isaac, Valerie, Allianna Mendoza; great-grandchildren Gabriel Tito, Gabrazae, Matthew, and Gian Mendoza; brothers Domingo Noriega and wife Carmen, Antonio Noriega and wife Marinda, Ruben Noriega and wife Gloria, Juan Noriega and wife Florinda, Daniel Noriega and wife Gracie; sisters Delores Gomez, Paula Garcia and husband Carlos, Irene Salazar and husband Albino, and Rose Villanueva and husband David, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Gabriel Mendoza, Jr., Isaac Mendoza, Domingo Noriega, Jr., Daniel Noriega and David Villanueva.
