Joyce Bose, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on March 20, 2015 in New Braunfels. A memorial service celebrating Joyce's life will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. Joyce was born on September 23, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to Ferris Macbeth Bowen and Rolene Rebecca (Homan) Bowen Smith. Joyce proudly served her country in the United States Air Force for four years as a flight attendant and recruiter and met her future husband Chester Bose during that time. She will be remembered as the former owner of the Country Cabaret for many years. At age 50, Joyce attended Nursing School at McKenna Hospital in New Braunfels graduating at the top of her class. She was a longtime volunteer at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center where she logged in 2000 hours. She was an active member of Cross Church. Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester Bose, her son Rick Bose, her granddaughter, Heidi Bottego and her parents. Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Bose; grandchildren, Heather Evans, and Danielle Bose; great-granddaughter, Casey Palmer and husband Shayne; great-grandson, Bret Stone; great-great-granddaughter, Riley Palmer; sister, Janet Cole; brothers, Jim Bowen and wife Wilma Lou, and Keith Smith, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews.
