Joyline Hoese Volkmann, age 74 of Seguin, passed away on December 13, 2008. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 12 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Anne Kolmeier officiating. Interment will follow in the Hoese Cemetery in Santa Clara. Joyline was born on March 17, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Erwin and Elfrieda Grobe Hoese. Joyline will be remembered as a long time employee of Hexcel. Her husband, Standfield Volkmann, Sr. preceded her in death as did her parents and sister, Linda Kay Hoese. Survivors include her loving companion, Bill Hurley; son, Standfield "Bubba" Volkmann, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Volkmann and husband, Martin Good; stepchildren, Jo Ann Hurley, Norma Vader and husband, Keith and Jason Hurley and wife, Shirley; brother, Erwin Hoese, Jr. and wife, Kathy; sisters, Emma Jean Crabill, Gladys Baggett and husband, David and Betty Pillot; aunts, Melanie Crump and husband, James and Elrene Gulley; grandchildren, Marsha Volkmann, Christopher Volkmann, Sr. and wife, Cherie, Ambur Good-Ortiz and husband, Dustin, Megan Good, Colton Vader, Angela Hurley, Lilly Hurley and Jake Hurley; six great-grandchildren; serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Volkmann, Sr., Dustin Ortiz, Colton Vader, Kenneth Thorne, Larry Cowey and Todd Patton.
