Juanita R. "Janie" Vasquez, age 87 of Seguin, passed away on December 17, 2015. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by the recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. Juanita was born on September 2, 1928 to Camilo and Rosa (Garza) Rodriguez in Odem, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nana and brother, Frank. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Vasquez; children, Lupe Gonzales and husband Antonio, Geneva Lopez and husband Julian, Christina Miller and husband Leonard, Janie Richie, and Ruben Herrera; grandchildren, Pamela Hankins and husband Scott, Joel Gonzales, Damon Gonzales and wife Irene, Ernest Richie, Jake Richie, Ruben Medrano and Carlos Herrera; numerous other loving family members.
