Our beloved angel, Julia F. Mendoza, age 90 of Seguin, was called home on April 6, 2011. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Monday, April 11, 2011 beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Julia was born on October 21, 1920 in Staples, Texas, where she grew up, to Apolonio and Anita Arredondo Fernandez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Juan Landin Mendoza, brother Santiago Fernandez, sister Margarita Fernandez, and grandsons Juan Mendoza III and Porfy Medina III. She is survived by three sons Juan F. Mendoza, Lee F. Mendoza (Diane), Gabriel F. Mendoza (Irene), and one daughter Mary Medina (Porfirio). Grandchildren are Julie Medina, Rita Torres, Gabriel Mendoza Jr., Isaac Mendoza, Valerie Mendoza, and Allianna Mendoza. Great-Grandchildren are Brittini, Savanna, Dylan, Gabby, Joey, Adam, Gabriel, Gabrazae, Matthew, Gian, and Xyllah. She had one great-great grandchild Dylan.
She is also survived by two brothers Apolonio Fernandez Jr. and Manuel Fernandez, two sisters Candelaria Hernandez and Anita Aguilar, and numerous nephews and neices. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Mendoza Jr., Isaac Mendoza, Adam Lopez, Chris Urrutia, Ernesto Barrientos, Tony Rodriguez, Joe Torres and Dylan Caddell.
