Julian (Buddy) Rodriguez, III, age 56 of Seguin, passed away on October 23, 2013. Private services will be held at a later date. Julian was born on June 19, 1957 in Seguin, Texas to Julian, Jr. and Hortencia Pena Rodriguez. Buddy will be remembered as a softball and baseball pitcher both at Seguin High School and in various City Leagues. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan. He is preceded in death by his mother Hortencia Rodriguez and his nephew, Christopher Alvarez. Survivors include his father Julian Rodriguez, Jr.; siblings, Richard Pena and wife Janie, Billy Rodriguez, Terry Alvarez and husband Gilbert, Elida Pena and husband Marco, and James Rodriguez; nieces and nephews, Steve Pena and wife Kelsey, Andrea Pena, Celeste Pena, Jennifer Cadena and husband Jake, Marco Pena, Jr. and wife Roxy, Stephanie Pena, Gilbert Alvarez, Jr. and wife Sherri, Alexis Soto and husband Nick, Mikayla Rodriguez and Steven DeLeon; special friends, Alice DeLeon, Sylvia Farias and Janie DeLaCruz; his beloved four legged friend, Beethoven; numerous other family members.
