Karl Lehmann, Jr., age 69, passed away February 26, 2008. He was born on December 20, 1938, at Staples. He attended school in Staples and graduated from Prairie Lea High School and Southwest Texas State University. Following graduation, he worked as a Vocational Agricultural teacher in Holland, Texas and Center Point, Texas for many years. After retirement, he stayed busy caring for his animals on his farm. He deeply loved all his animals, especially his horses. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Lola Lehmann. He is survived by his sister, Laverne Luensmann and husband Richard of Marion; his brother, Daniel Lehmann and his wife Lucille of Staples; two nephews, Horace Luensmann and wife Laura of Marion and Aric Lehmann of Staples; and two great nieces, Kayla Luensmann and Sabrina Luensmann of College Station. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer United Church of Christ Cemetery in Zuehl with Rev. Frank Dietz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
