Katherine "Kathy" Garcia

Katherine “Kathy” Garcia, age 72 of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on June 6, 2026. Kathy was born on May 4, 1954, in New Braunfels, Texas to Martha (Morales) and Isidoro Castilleja, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio C. Garcia, Jr., her son, Gabriel Garcia, and her father, Isidoro Castilleja, Sr.

Survivors include her daughter, Monica Sassenhagen and husband Gabriel; son, Antonio Garcia, III and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Jaeleigh Garcia, Ashton Garcia, Mason Garcia, Bryce Garcia and Allie Garcia; grand-pet, Cammie Sassenhagen; mother, Martha M. Castilleja; siblings, Mary Helen Martinez and husband Ramiro, Felix Castilleja and wife Teresa, Isidoro Castilleja, Jr., and Teresa Castilleja and partner, Armando Suarez; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m.
