Katherine Sybil Parker Welsh, age 88 of New Braunfels, formerly of Three Rivers, Texas passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024.  She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on June 7, 1936, the daughter of William and Adele Cooper of Hobbs, New Mexico.

In 1952, Katherine married her first husband, Lewis Parker, who she was happily married to for the next 45 years until she lost him in 1997.   In 1998, she married Jerome Welsh of Ocean City, Maryland.  They had a magical marriage until his passing in July 2020.

Katherine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her family with all her heart.  Her greatest joy in life was the adoption of her son Lewis Steve Parker of Seguin.  Katherine and her husband Lewis provided a loving home for their son in Three Rivers Texas.  Besides being a devoted Mother, she was also a beautician and an avid bowler.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Adele Cooper, her brother Gary Cooper, three sisters Avis Dodd, Wilma Ruth Garr and Virginia Moore, her grandson Bert Holden, along with her loving daughter-in-law Wendy Parker.

Survivors include her son Steve Parker of Seguin; her stepdaughter Elizabeth and Bert Holden of New Braunfels; and her stepson Jerry Welsh of Frankford, Delaware.   Her surviving grandchildren include Hayden Starr, Gage Parker, Hannah Locklear, Madison Parker, Scott Welsh and Kim Patrick along with 10 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Paul Cooper of Wyoming.

Katherine will be laid to rest with her loving husband Jerome Welsh in Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio Texas in a private ceremony.
