Kathleen (Kathy) Rohde, age 65 of Seguin, passed away on May 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family after a valiant 2 year battle with brain cancer (GBM). A memorial service celebrating Kathy's life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Kathy was born on October 13, 1948 in Robstown, Texas to Gregory Simnacher and Helen Elizabeth Ordner Simnacher Moeller. She will be remembered as a former employee of the Seguin Independent School District where she served as a cafeteria cashier. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Raymond Bartosch. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Gene Rohde; children, Timothy Rohde and wife Angie, Anthony Rohde and wife Emilie, and Beverly Bonkowski and husband Terry; grandchildren, Bailey Hubbard, Wyatt Hubbard, John Rohde, Connor Rohde, Amber Gonzales and Michael Gonzales; great-granddaughter, Jaylee Ortiz; Kathy's siblings, Robert Neil Simnacher and wife Jeanette, Vernon Simnacher and wife Mathilda, Alyne Fitzgerald and husband Bob, Evelyn Hartmann and husband Ed, and Carolyn Bartosch; step-father, Ewald Moeller; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends. Kathy was the most loving and caring wife, mother, "mimi", sister and friend anyone could ever ask for. She will be dearly missed.
