Kathryn Baker Schulze, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on January 4, 2011. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at Elm Creek with Pastor Anne Kolmeier officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Lutheran of Elm Creek Cemetery. Kathryn was born on April 20, 1929 in Guadalupe County to Cecil Hay and Anna Hulda Hoermann Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband Elroy W. Schulze, her infant son Terry Lynn Schulze, her parents, her brother, Joe Baker and wife Linda and her brother-in-law, Marvin Stautzenberger. Survivors include her son, Cecil Schulze and wife Syndra; daughter, Becky Baker and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Randall Baker, Ryan Baker and wife Laura Beth, Christina Burress and husband Jason, Sterling Schulze and Patrick Schulze; sisters, Betty Reiley and husband Vernon, Joyce Real and husband Wallace and Raynelle Stautzenberger; brother-in-law, Arnold Schulze and wife Verlyn; sisters-in-law, Laura Mae Gerdes and husband George and Evelyn Norman and husband Bert; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
