Kathy Lutz Babel age 60 of Seguin, passed away on January 20, 2014. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted at The Country Church in Marion on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. A reception celebrating Kathy's life will follow with details to be announced at the services. Kathy was born on August 15, 1953 in Seguin Texas to Travis and Bertha Green Lutz. She was a lifetime resident of Seguin and attended Seguin Schools. Her joys were spending time with her family, dancing, working with arts and crafts especially designing floral arrangements. Many good times were spent among family and friends at the Lutz Family Pavillion. For the last six years she was employed with the Guadalupe County Sherriff's Department where she made many friends whom she considered extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, John, Alvin, R. V., Arnold, Tildon and Troy Lutz and infant brother and sister and grandson, Joshua Burgess and infant Baby Boy Babel and her former husband and father of her children, Robert (Bobby) Babel. Survivors include her daughter, Vanessa Jolley and husband Aaron; son, Bradley Babel and his wife Tyra; grandchildren, Austin Burgess, Kelsie Jolley, Trenleigh Babel and Tyndal Babel; brothers, Douglas Lutz and wife Martha, Vincent Lutz and wife Mary, Derial Lutz and wife Lynda, David Lutz and wife Christine, and Eddie Lutz and wife Jeanette; sisters, Vergie Stevens and husband Lyle, and Mary Ackermann; sisters-in-law, Anita Lutz and Louise Lutz; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
