Obituary

On October 4, 2021, Kaye Collier Weaver was called to Heaven at the age of 73. During her last days on Earth, she was surrounded by the people she loved dearly. Kaye was born on December 23, 1947, in Georgetown, Texas to Oscar Eugene (Gene) and Colleen Gilmore Collier. She lived in the Austin/Georgetown area most of her life. Kaye graduated from Pflugerville High School in 1965 and immediately began showing her hard working nature as a telephone operator. After several years at the telephone company, she entered the field of Insurance where she spent the rest of her career. Her most recent position was as Commercial Lines Account Manager at Howell and Schmidt Insurance and Investments, in New Braunfels, Texas where she worked until the time of her illness.

Kaye had three children and four grandchildren who were the center of her universe and brought her great joy.

She met an amazing man, Kelly Weaver, late in life and they were married on June 12, 2009. Kelly was an incredible partner and companion for her and they loved each other immensely.

Kaye enjoyed many activities throughout her life including sewing, tending to her flower gardens, bird-watching, traveling, home decorating and shopping.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a remarkable human being with a heart of pure gold that just wouldn't cease, no matter what obstacles she faced. Her kind and caring nature was adored and appreciated by all who knew her. The ones who loved her most will forever remember her for her strength and tenacity, and also her gentleness, lovingness, and her ability to always see the bright side of things. She had a sharp eye for silver linings in every situation. She was an awesome example of how to always live a life of peace and joy.

Kaye was loved dearly and will be remembered sweetly everyday by her husband, Kelly R. Weaver, SMSgt, USAF, RET; children, Lisa Dee and husband Bill Dee of McQueeney; Bryan Fuchs of San Antonio; sister, Kyle Friesenhahn and her husband Daniel Friesenhahn of McQueeney; sister from another mister, Cheryl Collier of Buda; sister-in-law Laura Collier of Dallas, nephew Eric Collier and his wife Regina of Buda; grandchildren, William Dee of Schertz; Christian Dee and fiancé Sophia Pluck of San Antonio; Brandalyn Dee of McQueeney; and Xavier Fuchs of San Antonio as well as a great niece and nephew, wonderful cousins and many friends.
