Keith E. Fredericks of Seguin, formerly of Victoria, passed away on July 18, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born in Mercedes, Texas on June 2, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivar and Seva (Nyquist) Fredericks of Victoria, sister, Betty Jean Caraway of Yorktown, and brother, Bill Fredericks of Grand Prairie, Texas. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Bunny; son, Keith Fredericks, Jr. and wife Susan of La Salle, Texas; two daughters, Rebecca Leita and husband Randy of Victoria, and Leslie Weiss and husband Rick of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Viola Fredericks of Grand Prairie and Joyce Steele of Seguin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. He taught Auto mechanics for 27 years for the Victoria Independent School District. After retirement, he joined the Victoria County Sheriff's Department. He worked for ten years in the Patrol Division and loved what he did for all those years in law enforcement. Keith will also be remembered as an avid bowler. A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Mission Valley in Victoria with Pastor Jonathan Meyer officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.
