Kenneth R. Redix

Kenneth R. Redix passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, honesty, and deep devotion to his family and friends. Born on September 22, 1965, to Maggie Redix-Cockran, Kenneth was lovingly raised by his devoted grandmother, Lorris Nelson Redix. He attended Seguin High and later worked as a car salesman and repo man for many years until his health failed him.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Maggie b Cockran, Grandfather Jonnie Redix Sr, Grandmother Lorris Nelson Redix, Uncle Milton Redix, Aunt Ida Mae Erskine, uncle Jonnie Redix jr, and Beloved cousin Terry Simmons Jr.

Kenneth had an exceptionally generous heart. He lived his life always ready to lend a helping hand, constantly going above and beyond for anyone in need. He was widely known for offering guidance and advice to those he cared about. A remarkably strong and stark individual, Kenneth always meant exactly what he said. He spoke his mind directly, but everything he uttered came from a place of pure love—no matter how it was received. He will be fondly remembered for his incredible cooking skills and the fierce love he held for his family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude and acknowledgment to Benjamin Herrera, Kenneth’s lifelong friend and companion, who provided compassionate and dedicated care to him during his final years.

Kenneth leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his sister, Brenda Joyce Kelly; his niece, Chanel Toya Cochran-Lee (Chrischawn); his great-nephews, Exavier Cochran and Daythan Lee; and his beloved great-niece, Aaliyah Chanel Martinez. He is also survived by his cousins, Sandra Wilson, Joetta Wilson, Richard Wilson, Wayne Nelson, Lavee Redix-Simmons, Keslynn Redix, Jacqueline Redix, Lilian Redix, and Sandra Nelson, along with a host of other extended family members, dear friends, and associates.
