Kenneth Fred Wieding, long time and beloved organist for Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek, age 86, passed away on December 30, 2017. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin, TX. Funeral services will be on Friday January 5, 2018 at 10AM at Christ Lutheran Church, Elm Creek with Rev. Bonnie Claycomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Christ Lutheran Church, Elm Creek Cemetery. Kenneth was born March 10, 1931 in Guadalupe County, TX to Fred and Leona (Wolfshohl) Wieding. He is predeceased by both his parents and two sisters, Louise and Evelyn, He is survived by his sister Bernice Lenz and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He graduated from Texas Lutheran College and his career includes two years in the U.S. Army ('53-'55) and 33 years teaching elementary grades at schools in the Seguin area. As an active member of Christ Lutheran Church he was the organist for 69 years.
