Kimberly A. Bowen wife, mother and Mimi (grandmother) died early Thursday morning October 3, 2024 after a five month battle with illness. Kim was 64 years old.
The wife of Paul Bowen for 43 years, she was born on October 16, 1959 in Bridgeton, New Jersey, and lived in Deerfield Street, New Jersey for most of her life before moving to Seguin, Texas in 2022 to be near her children and grandchildren.
Kim was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jacqueline Casper. She was a 1978 graduate of Cumberland Regional High School, then attended Brandywine Business College before embarking on a secretarial career, mostly with Athey and Company CPA's in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
Kim loved doting on her grandchildren. Some other favorite interests were attracting birds to her feeders, especially hummingbirds, also naked eye Astronomy and rooting for the family's favorite sports teams both in person and on Television. She loved Italian pasta, and "Jersey" tomatoes and corn on the cob, and family dining with blue crabs.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Bowen, Jr.; son, Dr. Craig P. Bowen (Isabella), San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Shea A. Bernal, RN (Juan), Bastrop, Texas; Grandchildren, Audrey, Hasley and Wesley Bernal, and Harper Bowen; brother, Todd Casper (Marge), Bridgeton, New Jersey;
The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
