L. H. "Lefty" Taylor, age 86, of Seguin passed away on Thursday November 29, 2007. The family will receive friends at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Sunday December 2, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Assembly of God with Pastor Don Wiehe officiating. Interment will follow in Staples Cemetery in Staples. Lefty was born on September 21, 1921 to Robert and Gladys Sims Taylor in Rosenberg Texas. His parents precede him in death. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dorothy Lea Taylor; children, Jean Jacobs and fiancé Boyce McConnell, Robert H. Taylor and fiancé Bobbi Hurta, Michael Jack Reed and wife Janice, Melody Miller and husband Ken, and John F. Taylor and wife Karen; sister, Effie Joy Huegel and husband Bob; brothers, Bill Taylor and wife Kathryn, Carl Taylor and wife Nan, Sidney Taylor; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Assembly of God, P.
