Laura Leissner Carlson, age 46 of Seguin, passed away on September 2, 2010. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Roy officiating. A reception will follow in the St. James Catholic Church Parish Hall. Laura was born on March 23, 1964 in Los Gatos, California to James Calhoun and Joyce Theresa Bonaventure Leissner. Laura graduated from Seguin High School in 1982 and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1985. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to Violet. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ouida and Martin Leissner and Beulah and Threz Bonaventure. Survivors include her husband Bill Carlson; daughter Violet Carlson; parents Jim and Joyce Bonaventure Leissner; siblings, Nathan Leissner, Blanche Walker and husband Neal, Naomi Leissner, Diane Baines and husband John; aunts and uncles, Hazel Bello, Martin and Helen Leissner, Anna Lou and Glen Brown; great-aunt Helen Black; nephews Trez and Skyler Walker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Becky Carlson; grandmother-in-law, Mildred Carlson; brother-in-law Steve Carlson and wife Amy and their children Benjamin and Chloe; sister-in-law, Katie Jenkins and husband Fred; numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.
