Laura Mae Grimm Carley, age 87 of Seguin, passed away on November 3, 2016. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Paul Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Dugger Cemetery. Laura Mae was born on January 9, 1929 in Guadalupe County to Gottlieb and Alma (Greiner) Grimm. Laura attended and graduated from Elm Creek School. She and her husband Ray, owned and operated the Gulf gas station on Guadalupe Street for many years. Laura was also a lifelong and faithful member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ray Carley; her parents; sister Lillian Grimm; brother Raymond Grimm, and wife Elaine; brother-in-law Paul Stollewerk, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willie Carley and wife, Vernelle; brother-in-law Vernon Blay. Laura is survived by her sisters Norma Stollewerk, Evelyn Carley and husband Bob; sister-in-law Mildred Blay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Stollewerk, Jeff Carley, Scott Carley, Roger Blay, John Broussard, and John Soefje. Memorial Contributions may be made to Emanuel's Lutheran Church, 206 N.
