Leo David Henk, age 79 of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on November 12, 2018. A gathering celebrating Leo's life will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Geronimo VFW Post #8456 in Geronimo, Texas. Leo was born on February 19, 1939 in Zorn, Texas to Adolph B. and Eleanora K. (Meister) Henk. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Leo will also be remembered as a long time rancher here in Guadalupe County. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Allen Henk and wife Ora Lee, Roger Henk, Jimmy Henk and wife Yvonne, John Henk and wife LaVerne, and sister, Lucille Hehs and husband Mervin. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Emilia Ann "Annie" Henk; son, Leon Henk and wife Angela; daughter, DeDee Benes and husband Bill; grandchildren, Amber Henk, Heather Howle and husband Morgan, Emma Henk, Krystal Youngblood and husband Cory, Brandon Benes and Jordon Benes; great grandchildren, Korbin, Trip and Jaxx; sister, Betty Jandt and husband Albert; brother, Edward Henk and wife Dorine; sister-in-law, Adaline Henk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen and Gloria Boenig; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.
