Leonora Anne Schmidt Kuhn, age 89 of Kingsbury, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2018. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery. Leonora was born on June 22, 1929 in San Antonio Texas to George Frank "Doc" and Jaquelin (Mansfield) Schmidt. She was a graduate of Seguin High School Class of 1946. For many years, Leonora served as Court Coordinator in Bexar County. She enjoyed ranching all her life and was proud to have served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Independent Cattleman's Association. Above all Leonora loved her life in Kingsbury spending many good times among her family and friends and her pets Abbie and Monis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Semmler, and recently, her loving companion, Maurice David West, her daughter, Frances Elizabeth Semmler Hartenstein Finch, and her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Suzy Wilson (Howard) of Houston; her son, John Semmler (Judy) of Houston; son-in-law, Stephen Finch of McQueeney; grandchildren, Lisa Hartenstein Pacheco and husband Tino, Shannon Dwyer Underwood and husband Joe, Erin Semmler Lehnert and husband Cory, Emily Semmler, Amanda Semmler Switalski and husband Brian, Lauren Collins Fowler and husband Joseph, and Kate Semmler Cornelius and husband Trey; great grandchildren, Diego Pacheco, Avery Pacheco, Forrest Fowler, Cameron Fowler, Jack Lehnert, Gray Cornelius, Jacqueline Underwood and Sarah Lehnert; her sisters, Margaret Taylor, Jackie Ball and ViVi Pennington of Kingsbury; nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Gray Mosier and Kevin Rieger. The family would like to thank Leonora's loving caregivers, Laurel Bennett, Charlene Ramos, Beth Pirtle and Ana Garcia for their wonderful care and attention.
