Leroy G. Pape, Sr., age 85 of Seguin, passed away on August 31, 2010. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Assembly of God with Pastor Don Wiehe officiating. Military Honors will be under the auspices of American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245. Leroy was born on August 13, 1925 in Guadalupe County to John Charles and Edna Ann Hester Pape. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was the owner of Pape Flooring. His wife LaMeriel Pape, his son Steven Pape, parents, siblings, Raymond Pape, John Pape, Virginia Pape, Rosa Lee Perkins and Ruby May McFeron preceded him in death. Survivors include his sons Leroy G. (Butch) Pape, Jr., Donald Gene Pape and Ronald Dean Pape; grandchildren, Shannon Pape, Kasee Anise Pape, Ashley Marie Pape, Christine Howard, Aaron Pape and Jared Pape; three great-grandchildren; sister, Dot Henderson and husband Ted; sister-in-law, Beth Pape; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
