Leroy Sommer, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on February 14, 2014. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Leroy was born in Guadalupe County on July 2, 1923 to Frantz and Adela Schneider Sommer. He is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Sommer, his parents, two brothers and six sisters. Survivors include his son, Leroy Sommer and wife Jean; daughters, Betty Pearmon and husband Paul, Shirley Palmour, and Dorothy (Susie) Goodman and husband Rocky; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
