Obituary

Linda Lou Dwyer of Seguin, received her reward obtained by her Savior Jesus Christ and entered into His joy on April 25, 2018.  Linda was born on December 22, 1945 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Dr. Delaney Marcellus and Mary Avalyn (Davis) Jones.  She grew up in Indiana, lived in Alaska as her husband proudly served in the United States Army, and for the past 48 years in Texas.  Linda's life of loving service included volunteering as a "Doughnut Dolly" with the American Red Cross from 1968 to 1969 during the Vietnam War with the 25 th Infantry Division at CuChi and the 1 st Marine Division at DaNang.  Linda was a registered nurse by profession.  She enthusiastically supported homeschooling, Christian education, and her children's and grandchildren's activities.  She was a tireless political volunteer since Barry Goldwater.  Linda faithfully contributed to missionaries in Mexico, India, and Africa.  Faith, family, and country were all important to Linda.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Jack Frayman.  Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Dr. Michael J. Dwyer (Col USA Ret.); her children, Christian Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer and wife Katy, Jane Dwyer, Joshua Dwyer and wife Amber, Stephen Dwyer and wife Jordan, Daniel Dwyer, Elizabeth Dwyer, and Luke Dwyer and wife Melissa; 11 grandchildren, Harper, Colby, Boone, Braden, Delaney, Avalyn, Mark, Luke, Lindi, Brandon, and Robert; sister, Nancy Kettler and husband, Mike; nephew Tim Kettler and wife Michelle, and their children, Madeline, Cameron, and Jack; niece Amy Cordial and husband Scott, and their children, Gabby and Will; aunt, Margie Frayman; numerous other loving family members and many friends.  Linda will be remembered for her determination, commitment, and resolve and for having a tremendous heart that could not be contained by her petite frame.  She will be missed by all her family and friends, though they rejoice for her.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Lifegate Ministries with Rev. Robert K. Odom and Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating.  Private Interment will be held at the family ranch.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Nancy Kettler, Margie Frayman, Aggie Fortune, Karen Melgaard, Judy Stevens, and Tosh Saunders.  Memorial contributions may be made to India Village Ministries at www.indiavillage.org , Reaching Africa's Unreached, c/o Lifegate Ministries, 395 Lifegate Lane, Seguin, Texas, 78155, or to Bible League International, www.bibleleague.org .
