Linda Smith Martinez, age 60 of McQueeney, passed away on September 5, 2008. Graveside services and interment will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Rick Talley officiating. A reception will follow at the Barbarosa Bowling Club. Linda was born on November 11, 1947 in Seguin, Texas to Ira and Lillian Schauteet Smith. She was a member of the Seguin High School "Class of 1965". Having loved athletics at a young age she carried that into her adult life where she especially loved to go bowling or fishing any chance she got. Her father precedes her in death. Survivors include her husband, Paul Martinez; son, Richard Hawkins and wife, Rhonda; daughters, Audra Hawkins and wife, Shawn Hawkins and Susan Evans and husband, Brandon; mother, Lillian Smith; grandchildren, Hailey, Kai, Evan, and Emerson; brothers, Franklin Smith and Allen Smith and wife, Gloria; sister, Sherry Jolley and husband, Durward; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Serving as pallbearers will be her "Bowling Girls", Jolie Garland, Paula Kierum, B. J. Kerlick, Michelle Saengerhausen, Karen Stange, Lois Dreibrodt, Kathy Roberson, Catherine Wilson and Lynn Hagelgans. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O.
