IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Richison
February 6, 1949 – January 4, 2023
Linda Kay Richison, age 73, of Seguin, TX, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on January 4, 2023, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Linda was born on February 6, 1949, in Clayton, NM, to Thomas Paul Shields and Gertrude Shields. Linda was raised in Alamogordo, NM, where she met her best friend and high school sweetheart of 57 years, Lonnie Richison. With humble beginnings and a strong love, they raised their family of three sons in Odessa, TX, and have called Seguin, TX, home for over 15 years.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy Lawrence Shields, her nephew Thad Shields, and niece Bonnie Shields.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Lonnie Richison; sons Thomas and wife Maria Richison of Bulverde, TX, Mark and wife Cynthia Richison of Dallas, TX, and Tim Richison of Frisco, TX; grandchildren David, Hannah, and Abbey Richison; sister Jackie and husband Dewey Edmiston, sister-in-law Betty Shields; niece Tiffany McFadden, nephew Kevin Shields, and many other loving family members and friends.
Linda dedicated her life to her husband and her boys. She showed strength and resilience through the challenges of multiple sclerosis with grace. She was a proud and loving Mimi of three beautiful grandchildren. She led a selfless life of service based on her deeply rooted faith in Jesus Christ. She dedicated countless hours to many faith-based callings, including genealogy research and family history. She was easy to call a friend, and loved her friends deeply. In fact, many of you have received countless greeting cards over the years, with her inspirational words and beautiful handwriting. Her loving kindness also extended to her many pets, who were often spoon fed.
She was strong, beautiful, faithful, graceful, and kind. She will be dearly missed, and will live in our hearts forever.
