Lisa Gaye Shelley Shelton, a devoted wife, mother, and dedicated teacher, peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024, in Seguin, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a profound commitment to education.

Lisa spent 14 years as a passionate and devoted teacher, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students. Her enthusiasm for shaping young minds was evident in her tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to the field of education.

At the center of Lisa's world was her beloved family. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Don Shelton, and their three children, Trace (wife Nikki), Ty (wife Kamri and grandson Stetson), and Taylor. Lisa's childhood in Burnet, Texas, surrounded by the love of her parents, Annelle and George Shelley, and siblings Keith, Carrie, and Susan, laid the foundation for the compassionate and caring person she became.

Lisa's life was enriched by a strong faith in the Lord, providing her with comfort and guidance throughout her life's journey. Beyond her roles as a teacher and a mother, Lisa found joy in her love for country music, particularly the songs of George Strait, and developed a deep connection with horses, fishing, and hunting alongside her husband.

As Lisa embarks on her journey to the heavens, she is reunited with her beloved mother, father, and sister, finding eternal peace and solace in their embrace. Lisa's impact on those around her will be remembered with love and gratitude. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Private graveside services and interment were held at the Round Mountain Cemetery in Round Mountain, Texas. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, from 2-4 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin, TX. The family appreciates the love and support from friends and well-wishers during this time of remembrance.
