Lois Fay Neffendorf, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on January 23, 2012. Visitation will begin on Friday, January 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Lois was born on March 2, 1930 in Seguin, Texas to Walter and Myrtle Caldwell Schmitt. She worked along beside her husband in his Lutheran Ministry in churches he served in Floresville, Jourdanton, Hondo and Edna, where she sang, played the piano and taught Sunday School Classes. In later years James and Lois owned and operated the Saddle Shop in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Rev. James Clarence Neffendorf and her parents. Survivors include her son, Dennis Neffendorf; brother, Roland Schmitt; nephews, Larry Schmitt and wife Becky, Henry Schmitt and wife Katherine, Brian Schmitt and wife Alice; niece, Alice Burnham and husband Clark; extended family, Mitzi McDonald, Codi Downs and Peggy Catoe; numerous other family members, beloved caregivers and friends.
